It seeks to unravel how the cultural nuances and economic ambitions in Asia contribute to the proliferation of such activities, spotlighting the unique hurdles these pose to crafting effective regulatory frameworks. Employing a comprehensive literature review as our primary methodology, we delve into a wide array of sources that include case studies, legal reviews, and analyses of existing detection methods. The focus is specifically on Asian countries, providing a regional lens through which to examine the global issue of cryptocurrency-related money laundering. This approach enables a deep dive into cultural, economic, and regulatory aspects specific to Asia that influences these laundering activities. The investigation reveals a complex interplay of factors fueling cryptocurrency-related money laundering in Asia, including a cultural emphasis on wealth accumulation, competitive economic goals, age-based cultural expectations, significant lapses in auditing practices, misuse of charitable donations, and well-networked support systems facilitating illicit activities. These factors not only perpetuate the region’s struggle with development but also present substantial obstacles to effective money laundering detection and regulation. The lack of robust auditing mechanisms and the exploitation of philanthropic avenues emerge as significant vulnerabilities, alongside deeply ingrained cultural and economic motivations.</p> NISHANI RANAWEERA Copyright (c) 2024 K.G.N.U. The study employed self-designed multiple-choice using structural equation modeling to assess and test the relationship between the variables. The population strictly targeted junior secondary school students, of which 230 were sampled. Specialists validated the instrument in the subject area based on the measurement and educational management. The structural equation modeling statistical tool is used to analyze the collected data. The findings indicate a significant relationship between instructional material and student’s academic performance in the pre-test and post-test of students in the experimental group. It is also assumed that students who taught using instructional materials performed better than those taught without.</p> FATIMA YUSUF, GAMBO ABDULLAHI JINJIRI Copyright (c) 2024 FATIMA YUSUF, GAMBO ABDULLAHI JINJIRI http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journals.innovareacademics.in/index.php/ijss/article/view/51366 Mon, 01 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0530 SPEAKING CLASS EXERCISES USING THE SHADOWING PODCAST CONTENT TO WORK ON PRONUNCIATION https://journals.innovareacademics.in/index.php/ijss/article/view/50487 <p>English as a foreign language 1st-year students is introduced to speaking flaws. To remedy the pronunciation faults, 10 freshmen joined the treatment. To take part, they need access to gadgets with dependable internet. As a way to conduct the lesson outside of the classroom, the instructor set up a WhatsApp group. After finishing with the student member list, the teacher posted the podcast’s monologue’s content. He instructed the student to push the play button to hear the first sentence. Then, they paused and stated it once more. They went on until the delivery was finished. To perform shadowing, the student repeated the voice from the beginning. They all simultaneously spoke in response to the voice they heard. Continue doing this till the speech is over. After that, the transcript was spoken aloud for recording and forum posting. The lecturer then displayed the URL for the podcast’s talk. He repeated to them the same instructions; they had been given before. The students’ uploaded recording was entered into the transcription application to get the transcription. The teacher evaluated the transcription generated by a native speaker with the findings to find out how many pronunciation problems there were. All of the data were analyzed using a mixed-methods approach. The results showed that once the treatment started, the pupils’ pronunciation improved. Teachers can adapt this discovery to teach the related disciplines. It also inspires other researchers to conduct more research.</p> Edy Suseno Copyright (c) 2024 Edy Suseno http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journals.innovareacademics.in/index.php/ijss/article/view/50487 Mon, 01 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0530 USING PODCASTS TO IMPROVE LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY FOR ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE STUDENTS https://journals.innovareacademics.in/index.php/ijss/article/view/51673 <p>To communicate their ideas to one another, students use language.
