Abstract

ABSTRACT
The olive plant (Olea europaea) has been known and used for medicinal purposes since ancient times. In this article, we shall review the pharmaceutical
benefits and uses of the various parts of the olive plant in detail. New clinical research is leading to additional pharmaceutical uses of the olive plants.
Emerging uses such as applications in oncology and green methods of combating corrosion are mentioned briefly.
